• Professor Mason has office hours on the exam day from 10:30-12:30 in ENG260.
  • Exam time can be a stressful time. Ryerson provides support at #takeCareRU if you need/want it.
  • The final is in ENGLG12/ENGLG21/SHE549/SHE598/SHE554/ENGLG24 , at 15:00 on 2019.04.22 (past)
  • Each section has its own room. Dave Mason's sections are on the LG floor of the ENG building. Alex Ufkes' sections are on the 5th floor of the SHE building.
  • The final will be 180 minutes long.
  • Please be there 15 minutes early, as the exam will not start until everyone is seated, and any delay after the official start time will eat into your time!
  • There will be no calculators or books allowed. You will be able to keep your laptops, backpacks, and coats with you.
  • If you insist on wearing a hat, any brim must point back.
  • The test will be partly multiple-choice, and partly programming. The multiple-choice questions will mostly not be definitions, but rather program segments that require understanding.
  • The following topics are legitimate for the final:
    1. Labs 1-12
    2. Assignments 1-4
    3. Everything covered in class, whether on the lecture slides or not.
  • The final is comprehensive, and will cover all of the languages, more-or-less equally, as well as theory that we will cover in the last few weeks of the course. Because it is comprehensive, the final mark will replace the midterm mark (proportionately), if you do better on the final.
  • There may be some FAQs about exam questions.
  • There is a list of learning objectives which should help you focus on the critical expectations.
  • For studying purposes, this is all the questions previously asked in the course that are directly relevant to the current semester.
  • For reference, this is all the questions previously asked in the course, realizing that the emphasis of the course has changed somewhat over time and different things have been emphasized - especially for assignments..
